MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell on Monday was reporting from Jerusalem and said that President Donald Trump has a great relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"There is not a rift between Netanyahu and Trump," Mitchell said. "President Trump is the closest American leader to Benjamin Netanyahu of any of his predecessors."
"There was certainly a terrible relationship with President Obama," Mitchell added.
Trump arrived in Tel Aviv, Israel on Monday, where he praised Israel and called for a renewed partnership in combatting terrorism, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
"Now, let us work together to build a future where the nations of the region are at peace and all of our children can grow and grow up strong and grow up free from terrorism and violence," Trump said. "During my travels in recent days, I have found new reasons for hope."
