Wasserman Schultz Dodges on Whether Democrats Singing on House Floor Was Inappropriate

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla.) dodged a question on Friday when she was asked if it was inappropriate for her fellow Democrats to sing on the floor of the House of Representatives the prior day after Republicans passed their Obamacare replacement plan.

After the House passed the American Health Care Act, Democrats began to sing the Steam song "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye."

MSNBC's Craig Melvin asked Schultz about the incident. When Melvin first mentioned it to Schultz, she chuckled.

"Is that off pitch as well in more ways than one?" Melvin asked. "Is that appropriate?"

Instead of answering Melvin's question, Schultz said that Republicans "need to understand" the results of the vote. She went on to criticize their health care plan.

Melvin did not follow up after Schultz dodged his question.
