At least two media publications falsely reported over the weekend that President Donald Trump went golfing on Saturday.
The New York Daily News reported that Trump went golfing for the ninth time since taking office, before referencing old tweets of his that criticized former President Obama for playing golf.

While Trump was at Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, Va. to meet with members of his Cabinet on Saturday, he did not actually play golf. The Daily News, however, used the meeting venue to tee off on Trump.
It must be Saturday–the president went golfing.
President Trump–who regularly lambasted his predecessor for spending too much time playing the sport–is golfing for the ninth time since taking office seven weeks ago.
The president is golfing at Trump National Golf Club in Potomac Falls, Va., lunching with a few members of his Cabinet–and taking the time to OK the firing of U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara.
So far, Trump is teed up to be one of the most prolific golfers to hold the Oval Office.
The Hill also reported on Trump's visit to his golf club. The report discussed the president meeting with members of his Cabinet, but the Hill used an old picture of Trump playing golf on its Twitter account, potentially leading viewers to assume that he was out golfing again rather than conducting business.

Trump's social media director, Dan Scavino, castigated the publication for "giving followers [the] wrong impression" that Trump was playing golf instead of working.
Giving followers wrong impression of @POTUS golfing right now. I took that pic last month in FL. He's here, working: https://t.co/hg1R7I6EFn https://t.co/bi3n2gOJPD

CBS correspondent Mark Knoller set the record straight on Twitter, showing that Trump was having lunch at the club rather than playing golf.
