One year later, the media still regrets to inform its viewers that Hillary Clinton’s email scandal "just won’t go away."
The email scandal has plagued Clinton since it was discovered that she used a private email server to conduct government business when she was secretary of state. As the media attempted to ask Mrs. Clinton questions about her private server, the Clinton campaign urged the press that it was time to move on from the email story. Unfortunately for the Clinton campaign, the FBI launched an investigation into Clinton’s use of her private email server to see if she mishandled classified material.
FBI Director James Comey said in a statement in July that Clinton’s actions were "extremely careless" but recommended that no charges be brought against her. With Comey’s statement, it looked like Clinton’s email scandal was over, until the State Department released a new batch of emails.
The newly released emails show that Clinton Foundation donors would communicate with the foundation in order to get access to the State Department when Clinton was secretary of state. These emails have now raised new questions for the Clinton campaign.
It does not look like this scandal will go away anytime soon. But the media can still use the "Republicans overplayed their hand" card.
