MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough asked on air Monday why Hillary Clinton is still lying about her emails in the wake of her interview the prior day with Fox News’ Chris Wallace.
Scarborough first played a clip of the interview during which Clinton blamed professional staffers at the State Department for sending classified material through her private email server, prompting the Morning Joe host to chuckle.
"Oh my God! Oh my God! She just blamed people, professionals, she forced to communicate with her through an unsecured email," Scarborough said.
Scarborough then briefly discussed Donald Trump’s recent problems on the campaign trail before turning his attention back to Clinton.
"But Hillary Clinton, her performance was just as stunning on this one issue," he said.
"This is what I don’t understand: we know she’s lying; she knows she’s lying; the voters know she’s lying," Scarborough continued. "And so when she goes out and lies on top of a year of lies, all she does is drive down her honest and trustworthy numbers even more, and then at the end, it was the fact that she then blamed State Department professionals and ambassadors across the world who she forced to communicate with her through this email server."
"The Washington Post gave her four Pinocchios, which means it’s just kind of impossible to lie anymore about a topic than she did yesterday," Scarborough added, referring to a fact check done on Clinton’s comments by the Post’s Glenn Kessler.
Scarborough later said that Clinton’s answers in the interview reconfirm what her critics have said about her.
