NH1 News Network reported that Hillary Clinton disappointed kids at a local New Hampshire Boys and Girls Club when she didn't show up for an event on Thursday.
Clinton was supposed to visit kids at a Boys and Girls Club in Laconia, New Hampshire, but she never showed up.
Traci Tucker from the Boys and Girls Club explained why Clinton didn’t show up.
"It just didn’t happen," Tucker said. "She ran out of time."
Michael Bormes, a father of a disappointed child, said Clinton could not keep a promise.
"I think it’s unacceptable," Bormes said. "You want to be the President of the United States, it starts with the youth. You couldn’t even live up to a promise that was made or that was told to these kids."
An NH1 reporter tried to ask someone from the Clinton campaign what happened, but he didn’t answer any questions.
The kids were disappointed after their hard work of decorating a bathroom for Mrs. Clinton was for nothing.
"There were tears. They were really looking forward to it," Tucker said. "It was a life lesson, I guess. It’s a bummer of a lesson, especially at this age."
In her absence, Clinton signed a piece of paper for the kids.
One eight-year-old named Landon was not only sad that Clinton failed to keep her promise.
"When I heard it, I was kind of angry and mad at the same time," Landon said. "And I kind of felt a little bit sad because I was looking forward to it for all day today."
