Woman-Beater Begs Obama to Allow Him Back in the Country

July 24, 2015

Chris Brown, the singer best known for beating up his then-girlfriend Rihanna, posted a video Thursday begging on President Obama to allow him to return to the United States after he was forced to stay in the Philippines for skipping out on a concert.

Brown's ordeal began when a Filipino Christian group accused him of blowing off a show and asked the government to prevent him from leaving the country, AFP reports.

Brown, who performed to a packed crowd at a Manila arena on Tuesday, was barred from leaving the Philippines after the politically-connected Christian group Iglesia ni Cristo filed a fraud complaint against him.

The group said it was owed a million-dollar-plus refund after he failed to show up for a concert sponsored by them last year.

After several days of being stuck in the country, Brown took to his Instagram with a post captioned "OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!" In the video post, he begs to be allowed to leave the country and does a backflip.

On Friday, the singer received permission to leave the country.

IJ Review's Reid Mene has labeled the whole affair Brown's "most bizarre headline yet."
