A Texas firefighter is being hailed as a "hero" and "hot" after subduing an armed robber last month.
Daniel Gaskey, a firefighter from Mansfield, Texas, who served in the Marines, subdued Dylan Bearden as he tried to rob an Exxon gas station in Midlothian, Texas, with a knife. The Midlothian Police Department released surveillance video of the incident to KTVT on Tuesday. The video shows Bearden pushing Gaskey aside before pulling his knife. He then turns his back on Gaskey, who uses the opportunity to tackle him from behind, secure the knife, and restrain him until police arrive.
Gaskey's actions led to a flood of praise from Facebook commenters on CBS DFW's copy of the video which has been viewed more than 2,000,000 times. Many commenters called Gaskey a "hero" and applauded his efforts. A large number of female commenters also commented on how attractive they found the fireman to be.
