A private school in Vienna, Austria, that is run by the Saudi Arabian government is under investigation for incorporating blatant anti-Semitism into its curriculum, according to Israel Hayom.
The magazine reviewed the Saudi School's history textbooks and reported that they contained a "smorgasbord of conspiracy theories and incitement against Jews, Israelis and divergent trends in Islam."
According to News, a textbook says in Arabic that "the Freemasons were a secret, subversive Jewish organization, which aimed to secure Jewish control of the world."
Vienna school board official Matias Meissner said Monday that the board is looking into the allegations. A woman who answered the phone at the school refused to comment. [...]
An Austrian news website explained that the Saudi School is run by the Saudi government and is not a religious institution. All lessons are taught in Arabic and follow the Saudi curriculum. However, the school must still comply with statutes set by the Austrian Education Ministry, and anti-Semitism and incitement are against Austrian law.
