New Poll: Voters In 'Sour Mood,' Say Obama Has Made Govt. Worse

A new ABC/Washington Post poll shows that 60 percent of voters have little or no trust in the federal government to do what is right, while 63 percent say government’s ability to deal with problem has worsened.

ABC’s Jon Karl said problems for Democrats go beyond just a presidential approval rating, because "a far larger percentage blame the White House and Democrats in congress than they blamed Republicans."

Nate Silver of fivethirtyeight.com predicted that Republicans have a 63 percent chance of taking the Senate majority.

Karl noted, however, that percentage predictions among nearly all of the top races fall within a margin of error.

"It’s going to be a very interesting election night," Karl said.
