Obamacare has forced student employees at the University of Colorado at Boulder to slash the number of hours they can work each week.
Colorado Springs CBS affiliate KKTV reported that since Obamacare requires employers to provide health insurance for employees who work more than 30 hours per week, UC Boulder student employees are now capped at 25 hours per week.
UC Boulder officials said they believe limiting the hours will "help students focus on getting their degrees."
A study released October 7 by George Mason University called the Obamacare-imposed limit "an explicit tax on full-time work" and "implicit tax that links the amount of available subsidies to workers’ incomes."
In January, Sen. Mark Udall (D., Colo.) attempted to downplay the negative impact of Obamacare on Coloradans, claiming the number of cancelled health insurance policies was incorrect.
