Bibi: Israel Reserves the Right to Self-Defense

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed Thursday that Israel has the right to defend itself.

During an interview with MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, the two discussed a potential U.S.-Iran nuclear deal in which Iran would have potential to enrich uranium to levels Israel would consider threatening.

Netanyahu explained he was primarily concerned with Iran’s capacity to make and "manufacture [nuclear weapons] in short order."

"Why should [Iran] have enrichment capability in the first place?" Netanyahu asked. "They don't need that."

Netanyahu remained firm when asked what would happen if President Obama signed a nuclear deal Israel deemed unacceptable.

"All I will say is Israel also reserves the right to defend itself," he said.
