In a new development on the NFL's least horrible current scandal, Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean "Shady" McCoy publicly defended his decision to tip a waiter at a Philadelphia burger shop $0.20 on a $60 tab.
"You can't be disrespectful and just expect somebody to tip you," he said. McCoy has refused to back away from the statement his tip made, according to Comcast SportsNet.
LeSean McCoy was asked Thursday if he learned anything about being a celebrity from TipGate."No," was his simple response.nMcCoy, a two-time first-team All-Pro and the NFL's rushing leader last year, defended the 20-cent tip he left earlier this week after eating at a local restaurant, saying it was simply an appropriate response to "disrespectful" service.
The burger shop, PYT, isn't backing down either. In fact, the owner of the restaurant has put the now-famous receipt up for auction on eBay. The 700 Club reports that the bidding has reached $810.
