A 30-year-old Palestinian man has detailed in a newly revealed letter how he and others were beaten by Hamas militants and forced to dig tunnels for the terror group.
A man who identified himself as Ahmed in a letter smuggled out of Gaza and published by Fox News recounts that he agreed to dig tunnels for Hamas in order to support his family, according to Israel Hayom.
"They took us to a closed-off building; we didn't know where we were. Two Hamas men were waiting for us there. They gave us tools and explained what to do to make the tunnel longer," Ahmed is quoted as saying.
According to Israel Hayom:
Ahmed, according to the report, mentioned that on more than one occasion the diggers were berated and even beaten for not working hard enough. Additionally, they received minuscule wages for their work.
"We didn't know where we were or which tunnel we dug," he allegedly wrote.
