Lost among the real-life Bond villains and Russian swimsmoke embargos are the bystanders caught in the middle as Putin looks to renew the Cold War following a twenty-year hiatus. It has to be hard being Ukrainian these days, with the real possibility that your home is about to become a shooting gallery filled with Russians looking for more living space.
Fortunately, America’s favorite Ukrainian is far away from her hometown of Kiev shooting a film.
But the plight of her home is well on Milla Jovovich's mind.
@OlesyaZhukovska you are a hero and an inspiration to the world! Your courage is incredible and we are praying for you and the Ukraine!!

Miss World Ukraine 2012 Karina Zhironkina has been in and out of Kiev during the Russian invasion.
2012 seems like it was yesterday. Blockbuster was still in business, America had yet to reelect Obama, and Karina was crowned Miss Ukraine after a grueling competition.
Karina stood out in the Miss Ukraine's choreographed swimsuit dance routine.
Ukrainians do have a interesting way of doing glamor shoots. We throw Kate Upton out in the snow wearing sticky tape and have her roll around for a couple hours. Karina's standard of beauty is moose hunting.
With her pageant days well behind her, Karina is a fitness competitor.
Karina has made her stance on Putin's invasion clear.
Keep calm and carry on, indeed.
