We need a president who 'understands the power of diplomacy and understands the strength that rests in understanding the significance of diplomacy'

Vice President Kamala Harris attempted to answer a question from a reporter on Thursday. Even though it was one of the easiest questions a politician has ever been asked—how do you feel about the good thing (Americans released from Russian prison) that just happened?—Harris absolutely flubbed the response.

"This is just an extraordinary testament to the importance of having a president who understands the power of diplomacy and understands the strength that rests in understanding the significance of diplomacy," Harris said in the style of a high school freshman asked to give a report on a book she hasn't read.

Harris would obviously prefer not to answer another question like that. Fortunately for her, our mainstream journalists are such self-loathing partisan hacks they will probably oblige.
