A Hollywood lawyer who has footed millions in legal bills for Hunter Biden is allegedly "completely tapped out" as the president’s son scrambles to secure funds for his upcoming trials, Politico reported on Wednesday.

"The reason Kevin [Morris] got involved financially in the first place was that he could see that no one was going to help Hunter," a person close to Morris, a Hollywood entertainment lawyer, told Politico on the condition of anonymity. "Now, four and a half years later, there’s still no help—and now Kevin is completely tapped out."

"So just when Hunter is facing two criminal trials starting in a few weeks, he has no resources. It’s pretty dire," the person added, referring to Biden’s scheduled trials on June 3 for gun charges and on June 20 for tax fraud.

Morris has confirmed the anonymous person’s account, according to Politico. The Hollywood lawyer has loaned President Joe Biden’s son more than $6.5 million and paid "various attorneys" on his behalf since the pair met at a fundraising event in late 2019.

CNN reported in October that the embattled first son was weighing fundraising options after incurring more than $10 million in legal bills over the past five years.

U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika earlier this week rejected Biden’s request to have his Delaware trial moved to September, saying "everyone can get done what needs to get done" by the scheduled date of June 3.
