President Donald Trump fired back at Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D., Conn.) on Monday on Twitter, saying he should "take a nice long vacation in Vietnam."
Trump's latest tweet added to the ongoing Twitter feud between he and Blumenthal.
"I think Senator Blumenthal should take a nice long vacation in Vietnam, where he lied about his service, so he can at least say he was there, " Trump wrote.

The spat began on Monday morning when the president, likely prompted by Blumenthal's appearance on CNN, blasted the senator as a "Vietnam con artist!"
"Never in U.S.history has anyone lied or defrauded voters like Senator Richard Blumenthal," he wrote. "He told stories about his Vietnam battles and conquests, how brave he was, and it was all a lie. He cried like a baby and begged for forgiveness like a child. Now he judges collusion?"
In 2010, Blumenthal admitted that he had misrepresented his service during the Vietnam War. He had been in the Marine reserves in Washington, but never saw combat.
Blumenthal responded several hours later, accusing Trump of "bullying," and saying "no one is above the law."
This issue isn't about me - it's about the Special Counsel's independence and integrity.

Blumenthal is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and has been a prominent supporter of the investigation into ties between Russia and Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
