Jay Sekulow, President Donald Trump's attorney, said Sunday that Trump is not under investigation and has received no notice of investigation from Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
"There has been no notification from the special counsel's office that the president is under investigation. In fact, to the contrary," Sekulow said on CBS.
"Face The Nation" host John Dickerson referenced Trump's tweet on Friday in which he claimed he was under investigation and called it a "witch hunt."

"Mr. Seklow, I want to start this morning with the president's tweet ... What is he talking about?" Dickerson asked.
Sekulow said that the tweet is not a verification that Trump is under investigation, but rather a response to the Washington Post article that referenced anonymous officials who claimed Trump was under investigation.
"The president issued that tweet on social media because of the report in the Washington Post from five anonymous sources, none of which, of course, anyone knows about, alleging that the president was under investigation in this purported expanded probe," Sekulow said. "The president is not and has not been under investigation."
"How do you know?" Dickerson asked.
"Because we received no notice of investigation," Sekulow said.
"Is it your view, and just to educate our viewers, that if you were under investigation, there would be an obligation from special counsel to let you know?" Dickerson asked.
"Well, look, I can't imagine a scenario where the president would not be aware of it," Sekulow said.
He went on to explain that there is a constitutional issue at hand if the president were to be under investigation.
"The president cannot be investigated, or certainly cannot be found liable for engaging in an activity he clearly has power to do under the Constitution," Sekulow said, referencing the firing of former FBI Director James Comey.
