NBC’s Chuck Todd said Wednesday that Hillary Clinton is now more vulnerable than ever because of three letters: FBI.
"She certainly, I think, appears more vulnerable than ever," Todd said on CNBC. "The three letters here that I think ... have made this email story go to another level of seriousness is FBI."
Clinton recently turned her private server from her tenure at the State Department over to investigators, who have launched a criminal probe into whether classified material was mishandled.
Todd said Clinton could no longer say this is just a typical political attack.
"She can't just say this is a partisan witch-hunt by the House Republicans," Todd said. "The FBI is now investigating regarding the classified-info situation. "
Todd said Clinton still has to answer what her motivation was to have her emails stored on a personal server.
"And look, the best explanation still questions her initial judgment of why did she do this in the first place, and really was the only motivation to avoid Freedom of Information Act requests," Todd said.
