White House Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders will conduct Friday's daily press briefing for her first time on camera.

Sanders is filling in for Press Secretary Sean Spicer, who will be at the Pentagon for duties related to his service as a Navy Reserve officer, Mediaite reports.

Sanders was a staunch defender of President Donald Trump during the 2016 campaign and has been working for the Trump administration since January. In her current role, Sanders regularly talks to reporters but is not usually seen behind the briefing room's podium. Sanders also does many television appearances on behalf of the administration.

She spoke to reporters off camera on Thursday, according to CNN.

"Sean is actually on Navy Reserve duty, so you guys are stuck with me–today and tomorrow," Sanders said. "So brace yourselves for a fun 24 hours."

Sanders is the daughter of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who ran for president in 2016.
