Since Donald Trump took office, there's been no shortage of prominent members of The Resistance offering up physical threats toward the president.
Some of the threats were more humorous, like Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D.) proclaiming Trump would have to be picked up "off the floor" if Trump leered over him in a town hall debate the way he did with Hillary Clinton.
Some prompted investigations, like Missouri State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal writing on Facebook she hoped Trump got assassinated.
Some of them were weird, like Kathy Griffin's bizarre posing with a severed head resembling Trump's, a move that derailed her career.
Some of them were just embarrassing, like "Morning Joe" guest Donny Deutsch prompting sighs from the rest of the show when he said he'd meet Trump "in the school yard" after the president's derogatory tweets about Mika Brzezinski.
There's Madonna joking about blowing up the White House, Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) saying they've got to "stop his ass," Johnny Depp wondering the last time an actor assassinated a president, and Joe Biden proclaiming he would have taken Trump behind the gymnasium and "beat the hell out of him" for his crude remarks about women.
There's no doubt about it: The Resistance is Ready to Rumble.
