White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest blatantly dodged a crucial question about President Obama’s appointment of Democratic operative Ron Klain as Ebola Czar on Friday.
"What does Ron Klain know about Ebola?" CNN correspondent Jim Acosta asked.
Earnest stumbled and then dodged the question.
"Well, the thing that’s—let’s talk about, let me restate why the president believes it was important to add this person to his team," Earnest said.
After rattling off Klain’s CV and touting his private and public sector experience, Earnest was candid about Klain having absolutely no relevant experience dealing with the Ebola virus or any type of disease control, for that matter.
"What we were looking for was not an Ebola expert, but rather an implementation expert," Earnest said. "That’s exactly what Ron Klain is."
