Hillary's Memoir is #2 Behind Time Travel Romance Novel

Book sales? More like book fails. (AP)

Hillary Clinton’s most recent memoir, Hard Choices, was not the top-selling hardcover in the first week of its release, Buzzfeed reports. According to Nielsen Bookscan, which tracks physical books sales, Hard Choices sold 85,721 hardcover copies in the week ending June 15.

That was good enough for second place behind Diana Gabaldon’s Written in My Own Heart’s Blood, the latest installment in a popular sci-fi romance series about an English nurse who travels back in time to the mid-18th century, where she finds herself caught "between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives."

Meanwhile, Hillary’s book has fallen two spots on Amazon’s best-sellers list to number 5, and continues to trail 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse: Lose Up to 15 Pounds in 10 Days! On the bright side, Hard Choices is outperforming Disney’s Frozen Little Golden Book.

Clinton’s first memoir, Living History, was more successful, selling more than 40,000 copies in the first 24 hours back in 2003. Maybe the lack of sales is a reflection of her plunging approval rating?
