A Year of Inspiring Democratic Quotes

December 23, 2013

As in any other year, 2013 provided countless Democratic pearls of inanity and incoherence as President Obama's administration and colleagues found themselves engulfed by multiple scandals, the horrific rollout of Obamacare and a near-disaster abroad with the Syrian crisis.

It was a 2013 that saw one top White House adviser call the law "irrelevant" in the wake of the IRS targeting fiasco, many Democrats and the president himself spin the "Lie of the Year" about Obamacare as being totally true, and one congresswoman seek to give unemployment insurance to "working men and women."

It was a year that saw Jen Psaki tell a wide-eyed Matt Lee that the State Department had "determined that we do not need to make a determination" about the coup in Egypt, Secretary of State John Kerry call for an "unbelievably small" strike in Syria, and Rep. Maxine Waters fear the loss of 170 million jobs to sequestration.

It saw Vice President Joe Biden display a stunning imitation of a shotgun, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, in response to a question about helping a child with cancer, wonder incredulously "Why would we want to do that?"

And it saw former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ask with exasperation about who perpetrated the Benghazi terrorist attack, "What difference at this point does it make?"
