The White House has taken strides to separate itself from the controversy surrounding Hillary Clinton and her use of a personal email account and server.
In Monday’s White House press briefing, Press Secretary Josh Earnest was asked whether President Obama had ever emailed Clinton on her personal email address while she was Secretary of State.
Earnest said that Obama had emailed Clinton on her personal email account but was unaware that Clinton had used the address for official business.
In an interview with CBS, Obama said that he had found out about Clinton’s personal email use like the rest of the country, through the news.
