Former New York mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner said he would much rather work at Fox than MSNBC because Fox has "lower standards" at the conclusion of an interview Wednesday evening on Hannity.
Based on Weiner's belligerent demeanor through most of the interview, host Sean Hannity alleged Weiner "wants Chris Matthews' job" at MSNBC.
Weiner replied he would much rather work at Fox because the conservative network has "lower standards."
As the interview ended Hannity shot back "You want me to talk about low standards, you really want to go there?":
ANTHONY WEINER: Why do you always have patsies on? Why is it you don't want someone who pushes you a little bit on the basic assumptions of your arguments.
SEAN HANNITY: Listen you want a job at MSNBC. I got it. Now I know why you came here today.
WEINER: Fox has lower standards. I would rather have a job on Fox.
HANNITY: Oh, ouch. You want me to talk about low standards, you really want to go there?
