Donald Trump trashed CNN and BuzzFeed over their discussions of an unsubstantiated report that Russia possessed embarrassing information about the president-elect.
CNN reporter Jim Acosta was upset with what Trump said during his press briefing on Wednesday and interrupted the president-elect, wanting to ask a question.
"As far as BuzzFeed, which is a failing pile of garbage, writing it, I think they're going to suffer the consequences," Trump said. "They already are, and as far as CNN going out of their way to build it up."
When Trump finished speaking and was trying to call on a reporter to ask the next question, Acosta, who was sitting in the front row, interrupted Trump.
"Since you're attacking us, can you give us a question?" Acosta said.
Trump denied Acosta's request as he pointed to another reporter.
"Not you," Trump said. "Your organization is terrible."
"Can you give us a chance to ask a question, sir?" Acosta asked.
Trump repeatedly called for Acosta to be quiet while the other reporter tried to ask their question.
"She's asking a question, don't be rude," Trump said.
As Acosta kept interrupting Trump and the other reporter, Trump hit CNN again.
"I'm not going to give you a question," Trump said. "You are fake news."
"Mr. President-elect, that's not appropriate," Acosta complained.
Trump is not alone in his feelings for CNN. A recent poll showed that CNN is the least trusted cable news network among viewers.
