White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer snapped back at CNN reporter Jeff Zeleny during Wednesday's press briefing after Zeleny asked about meetings that were just occurring.
Zeleny first asked Spicer about who was attending a meeting that was scheduled at the last minute between President Donald Trump and House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes (R., Calif.). Spicer did not know who would be in attendance, as Nunes announced the meeting right when Spicer began the press briefing.
Nunes announced that he and Trump would discuss his committee's findings that members of the Trump transition were surveilled by the Obama administration.
"Well, Jeff, it just happened," Spicer said. "So, it's a silly question to ask me, literally as I'm walking out here when the chairman was wrapping up an event saying that he is announcing that he is coming down here."
Zeleny then asked if there would be more of these meetings.
"I don't know," Spicer said. "It literally just happened as I was walking out here."
