Scarborough Offers Scathing Assessment Of Team Clinton's Legal Issues

March 3, 2016

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough gave a scathing assessment of Hillary Clinton's future and her staffers' after it was revealed that the staffer who sent up her personal email server has been granted immunity by the Department of Justice.

Bryan Pagliano, who also worked on Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign, set up the server in 2009 in Clinton's New York home. In September 2015, Pagliano invoked his Fifth Amendment rights when he went to testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.

"Well, it's an ominous headline to say the least. I mean, for people that have been supporters of Hillary Clinton, for people in the press that have been trying to dismiss this for six months now, saying ‘well it's much ado about nothing’, the FBI is just interested in the process of how she set up the server so we can make servers a bit more safe in the future," Scarborough said. "That's never been the truth."

"I think it's very ominous. I'm not saying Hillary Clinton's going to be indicted. But certainly, there are going to be a lot of staff members who thought they were doing what they needed to do for the Secretary that are going to be under a great deal of duress, and I'm sure many of them are getting lawyered up this morning."

It is not known when, and if, any potential charges are made as a result of the investigations by both Congress and the FBI into Clinton and many of her top associates.
