Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci will appear on CBS's "The Late Show" with Stephen Colbert next Monday.

Colbert tweeted out the announcement Wednesday evening, the Hill reports.

"On Monday 8/14 Anthony Scaramucci will be my guest on @colbertlateshow. This is just a heads up for our censors to get ready! #themooch," Colbert wrote.

Scaramucci has operated under the radar since departing the White House, cancelling a press event last-minute in order to focus on his family and "work in the private sector."

Scaramucci, who holds the record for shortest tenure as communications director, was removed from the position just 10 days into the job. His departure coincided with the appointment of John Kelly as White House chief of staff. Kelly replaced outgoing chief of staff Reince Priebus, of whom Scaramucci had been publicly and viciously critical.
