House Speaker Paul Ryan (R., Wis.) said Tuesday it would be in President Donald Trump's best interest to allow the Russia investigation to go forward under special counsel Robert Mueller.
"I think, in the best case for the president, is to be vindicated by allowing this investigation to go on thoroughly and independently," Ryan said during his weekly press conference.
Ryan also gave Trump some advice in reference to Mueller, after recent rumors that the special counsel would be fired.
"I think the best advice would be to let Robert Mueller do his job," Ryan said.
