Pelosi Refers to Trump as 'President Bush' Yet Again

July 12, 2017

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) referred to President Donald Trump as "President Bush" again in an interview posted Tuesday with a San Francisco television station.

Pelosi sat down with KTVU for a wide-ranging discussion about topics ranging from her own rise in politics to the state of the Democratic Party after Trump's victory in 2016. Pelosi criticized Trump over his stance on repealing Obamacare, but, as she has done at least four times previously, she confused him with George W. Bush.

"Everything we have seen so far, though, with the president has been about tax cuts for the rich," she said. "In fact, affecting California very directly, is the Affordable Care Act. President Bush has come out against that, as you know, and it is not even a health care bill. The Republican bill is not even a health care bill. It's a tax bill disguised as a health care bill."

When she made the mistake in an interview on April 30 with ABC, she joked that she never thought she'd pray for the day Bush was president again.

The Washington Free Beacon made a compilation last month of Pelosi's strange habit of confusing the two men, who were president eight years apart.
