Rep. Bill Pascrell (D., N.J.) said Wednesday that he does not believe Medicare is bankrupting the country and needs to be reformed in an interview with Fox News' Bill Hemmer.
Medicare is the primary driver of the national debt, however, and projected by the Medicare trustees to be insolvent by 2024.
President Obama's own Treasury secretary, Timothy Geithner, has said multiple times that Medicare and Medicaid are "unsustainable commitments."
