Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will endorse Omaha businessman Pete Ricketts on Friday in his bid for governor of Nebraska.
Her backing is the latest in a string of recent endorsements from prominent conservatives, including Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and popular radio host and RedState editor Erick Erickson.
The Omaha World-Herald reported Palin’s endorsement Friday morning:
Palin, who is a Tea Party favorite and former Republican vice president candidate, is expected to endorse GOP gubernatorial candidate Pete Ricketts today in Grand Island, several sources within the Republican Party said today. […]
The Ricketts endorsement is expected to come at 10:30 a.m. [central time] at the Nebraska State Fair grounds.
The Washington Free Beacon confirmed the endorsement Friday morning.
