A former president reportedly took a shot at the current one's Twitter habits during highly paid remarks on Thursday to A&E Network's advertisers.
Barack Obama poked fun at President Trump's need to tweet during an interview with historian Doris Kearns Goodwin in New York City.
According to TMZ, Goodwin asked Obama how he handled frustrating moments at the White House. He replied, "For starters, by not having a Twitter account."
Obama did not have a personal Twitter account when he first took office in 2009, but he did get one in 2015.
Trump has tweeted more than 470 times since taking office. Among the ones that landed him in hot water was a tweet in March accusing Obama, without evidence, of wiretapping Trump Tower during the 2016 campaign.
Obama collected $400,000 for Thursday's appearance, according to the New York Post. It came the same week he drew criticism from liberals for accepting the same amount for a Wall Street speaking engagement in September.
