Americans for Prosperity has released two new ads blasting Sens. Joe Donnelly (D., Ind.) and Claire McCaskill (D., Mo.) for their opposition to tax reform.
The $4 million ad campaign targets two of the Senate's most vulnerable Democrats as the 2018 midterm elections ramp up. Both are up for reelection this year in states won by President Donald Trump in 2016.
The ads will air for three weeks starting Wednesday, Roll Call reports.
Both ads feature women explaining how tax reform affects them, laying out its benefits for their businesses and families.
AFP President Tim Phillips released a statement as the ads were released.
"As more Americans see the benefits of tax reform, they are rightly concerned to learn that some lawmakers, like Joe Donnelly and Claire McCaskill, voted against tax relief for individuals and families," Phillips said.
