The Washington Free Beacon's Bill McMorris discussed whether changes should be made to the Electoral College system Wednesday morning on Fox News' Red Eye.
The show's panel addressed recent complaints from Democrats about the Electoral College after Hillary Clinton won the popular vote but lost the presidential election to Donald Trump.
"Bill, what do you think? Electoral college, any modifications to be made?" host Tom Shillue asked McMorris.
"Divine monarchy. Anything short of that I'm kind of like ehh," McMorris jokingly responded.
"It's only people who once they lose they complain about the Electoral College," Shillue said. "Weren't they bragging? The Hillary supporters were talking about the map all year long, were they not?"
"They were, and what we see is nobody really knows what it means. The average voter doesn't," McMorris said. "So you end up having these people who look at the results and they say how did the Electoral College rig this thing?"
McMorris then referenced a 2012 tweet from President-elect Trump, when he complained about the Electoral College.

"That's why you get Trump who had no idea what the Electoral College was in 2012," McMorris said.
McMorris then commented on how Trump uses his Twitter account to explain issues to his 15 million followers.
"That's why everything Trump does and talks about he thinks he is explaining to you for the first time," McMorris said. "He is like Twitter is a form of communication. Can you believe it? And the Electoral College, all 50 states, who knew?"
McMorris appeared alongside political columnist Kristin Tate and comedians Paul Hooper and Andrew Schulz.
