Republican Senator John McCain (Ariz.) recently gave a frank interview in which he questioned why Hillary Clinton even bothered to write her post-election book What Happened.
"What’s the fucking point?" McCain asked when asked by Esquire about the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate's tome. "Keep the fight up? History will judge that campaign, and it’s always a period of time before they do."
McCain, himself the loser of the 2008 presidential election, urged Clinton to just "move on" and find something to busy herself.
"This is Hillary’s problem right now: She doesn’t have anything to do," he suggested.
It was hardly McCain's only use of profanity in the interview, with him dropping the f-bomb three more times, including during an explanation of his unusual questioning of FBI Director Jim Comey during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing.
McCain said he was handed a phone by an aide with their prepared questions, but the screen went black. "I was looking at it and, naturally, the message fades. I think, What the fuck am I going to do here?"
"So I started out trying to remember what was on the app, and, anyway, to make a long story short, I fucked it up," he recalled.
