King: Nunn Making 'Unforced Errors' With Recent Remarks

CNN's John King said Tuesday that Georgia's Democratic Senate candidate Michelle Nunn committed "unforced errors" with recent remarks deferring to President Obama on Veteran's Affairs and hedging on whether she would have voted for the Affordable Care Act.

Nunn, running in a state where Obama was solidly defeated in 2012, recently said she would "defer to the president's judgement" about what leadership would be necessary for accountability in the VA.

"Deferring to the president in a state where he is very unpopular, not the right thing for a candidate to do," King said.

Also, Nunn painfully ducked questions from NBC's Kasie Hunt on whether she would have supported Obamacare, making a stumbling answer about working for "Points of Light" when it was passed and then saying it would be "impossible to look back retrospectively" and know how she would have voted.

"You have to have an answer," King said. "She didn't have one there ... So, Michelle Nunn making a couple unforced errors, makes Republicans more confident they'll keep Georgia, no matter what happens."
