Former ESPN, Fox Sports, MSNBC, and Current TV host Keith Olbermann attacked President Donald Trump on Tuesday for firing FBI Director James Comey, a move that Olbermann vocally supported in the months before the election.
The GQ web series host was one of many who were outraged by Trump's surprising decision to fire Comey. Olbermann even suggested that Trump would be impeached for the action, tweeting, "You have just impeached yourself."
Congratulations @realDonaldTrump. You have just impeached yourself. #Flee https://t.co/QTg97Tfsea

In another tweet, Olbermann declared that Trump's actions constituted an "act of war" on the United States.

But Olbermann was among the voices who publicly called for Comey's firing last year.
Nope. Our one bipartisan moment. This man's position at the FBI is no longer tenable #FireComey https://t.co/e5kaUdSvEs

Regardless of the outcome, Comey must resign or be fired. At best he's the most tone-deaf government official since Scooter Libby https://t.co/wheCY8UgdX

Olbermann has long been a critic of Comey, also calling on him to voluntarily resign during the 2016 election.
Comey: #RetractAndResign. And @jasoninthehouse: Resign https://t.co/HM9gkTPj2z

Whether this was accident, stupidity, or electoral manipulation, Comey's credibility as the leader of the FBI is spent #resign https://t.co/20NsEshWQO

It remains unclear why Olbermann finds Comey's firing an impeachable offense when in November he found Comey's position was "no longer tenable."
