Huffington Post writer Howard Fineman on Monday slammed President Donald Trump's Cabinet meeting and compared it to something one would see in North Korea or the Soviet Politburo.
Trump held his first full Cabinet meeting earlier on Monday. Most Cabinet members introduced themselves and then praised Trump for his service and thanked him for the opportunity to serve in his administration.
MSNBC host Greta Van Susteren opened up the segment by saying it was "very rosy" in the Cabinet room, prompting Fineman and another guest to start praising her and her show multiple times.
"It was absurd," Fineman said, referencing the Cabinet meeting. "It looked like to me something out of North Korea or the Soviet Politburo."
Fineman said that he understands Trump does not think he is being treated fairly, but then criticized the format of the meeting.
"First of all, having everybody go around the room like that did look a little Soviet, at least to me," Fineman said. "And the other thing is in terms of actual legislation, they haven't passed any."
