Harrington Discusses Trump's SCOTUS Nominee, Travel Ban

Washington Free Beacon reporter Elizabeth Harrington discussed President Trump's travel ban and his Supreme Court nominee, Judge Neil Gorusch, on Sunday on Fox News.

"What this order does is it's temporary. It is putting in place a more stringent process to review refugees and travelers coming into the country," Harrington said. "So on that basis alone, I think President Trump has a good shot at succeeding when you're just looking at the constitutionality of the order."

When asked about Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) using the "nuclear option" to allow a vote on Trump's Supreme Court nominee to be determined by a simple majority rather than 60 votes in the Senate, Harrington said that Trump was really letting McConnell make the decision on his own.

"When you look at this before the court battle over the travel ban, the Democrats didn't have a lot of good arguments for blocking Neil Gorsuch because he has such bipartisan support," Harrington said.
