Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani bashed Hillary Clinton Tuesday on MSNBC, calling the use of a private server during her tenure as Secretary of State grossly negligent and her actions immoral.
In addition, he claimed he would be in jail if he handled classified information as carelessly as she did. Giuliani gave a barn-burning speech on the first night of the Republican National Convention laying out a similar case.
MSNBC's Chris Matthews interviewed Giuliani on the second night of the RNC in Cleveland. The two discussed the Democratic nominee's actions regarding the Benghazi terrorist attack and her use of a private email server.
"What about this charge that she belongs in prison?" Matthews asked. "Should Hillary Clinton be in jail? Yes or no, Mayor Giuliani? You know her, you're a prosecutor."
Giuliani quickly responded, "If I did what she did, I would be in jail."
Clinton has continually received backlash for her use of a private email server since the start of her campaign and has not slowed down since the Department of Justice declined to press charges.
"She exposed the most sensitive information of the United States to our enemies," Giuliani said. "She lied about it over and over again and she destroyed 34,000 e-mails she had no right to destroy. I have convicted people on 20 percent of that evidence."
