Dem Jane Harman ‘Troubled’ By Clinton Foundation Foreign Money Scandal

A former Democratic congresswoman said she is "troubled" by the fact that the Clinton Foundation accepted $500,000 while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State, violating ethics rules.

Jane Harman said that the unsolicited contribution accepted by the Clinton Foundation needs to be explained and should be returned.

The Clinton Foundation has accepted millions of dollars from foreign nations that have complicated diplomatic relations with the United States.

The timing of these donations has created a problem for Clinton. The donations have brought allegations that foreign nations and corporations are circumventing campaign finance law that disallows them to give to a candidate by directing that money to Clinton’s foundation.

Ultimately, it appears that some of the world’s worst actors are buying influence through the Clinton Foundation.

"I think the appearance of what is happening is poor," Harman said.
