'Joe Biden has been in politics for 47 years. He has yet to win a caucus or primary.'

Washington Free Beacon founding editor Matthew Continetti said on Tuesday that Joe Biden’s presidential campaign is in "big trouble" after the Iowa caucus.

"Biden has very few resources," Continetti said on Fox News’s Special Report. "He, historically, has been terrible at raising money."

"So you’re saying he survived to lose another day?" Fox News anchor Bret Baier asked.

"Exactly," Continetti replied. "And think about the contest: you have New Hampshire and then, after that, Nevada, where Bernie has already been competitive. So that lead in South Carolina in the most recent poll is already down to five points for Biden. It will slip further. He is in big trouble no matter what we’ve seen in the past."

The former vice president is in fourth place in the Iowa caucus with 62 percent of the vote reporting in. He trails behind former South Bend mayor Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.), and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.). Biden’s campaign aides and allies expressed disappointment Tuesday with the former vice president’s performance in Iowa but said he had not been expected to win.

"Joe Biden has been in politics for 47 years," Continetti concluded. "He has yet to win a caucus or primary."
