Clinton Welcomes Wine-Flavored Ice Cream in Her Honor

April 1, 2016

Hillary Clinton reacted gleefully on Friday to the news that she would be receiving her own alcoholic ice cream flavor.

During a manufacturing roundtable in New York, Clinton affirmed her love of wine-flavored ice cream and said she would take her addiction with her into the White House.

"I’m looking forward to seeing wine ice cream in even more places, and if I’m so fortunate as to be elected president, it will be served in the White House, too," Clinton said and burst out laughing.

Roxaina Hurlburt, co-owner of the New York-based wine ice creamery Mercer’s Dairy, told Clinton that her very own flavor was in the works.

"We’re working on a commemorative ice cream flavor particularly for you," Hurlburt said.

"Oh, excellent," Clinton said, clapping her hands and merrily wiggling her shoulders.

Clinton has long been a fan of booze, as the Free Beacon revealed in February. According to her closest friends, Hillary likes "to hang out and drink and gossip," with her favorite vodka or wine in hand. But as in all things, Clinton does not discriminate: she has been caught taking shots of Canadian whiskey and knocking back beers while flying in her private jet.

Mercer’s Dairy isn’t the only New York business enabling Clinton’s habit. Phyllis Feder, owner of Clinton Vineyards, has rebottled the vineyard’s ‘Victory White’ wine since its 1992 release to commemorate every time a Clinton has won or run for the White House. The 2016 vintage is meant to "encourage Hillary Clinton to run for president."

Clinton’s wino ice cream will rival ‘Bernie’s Yearning,’ a special flavor invented by ice cream mogul Ben Cohen that, while lacking in alcohol, was symbolic of Bernie Sanders’ ideology. The pint was topped with a hard chocolate disc that represented "the huge majority of economic gains that have gone to the top 1% since the end of the recession." The disc had to be cracked to reach the mint ice cream underneath, which represented "the rest of us."
