Hillary Clinton’s brother-in-law was arrested on DUI charges in California Sunday night just two days ahead of the state’s crucial primary election, the New York Daily News reported.

Roger Clinton was put in handcuffs around 8 p.m. in southern California, according to police.

He refused a blood alcohol test and is currently being held on $15,000 bail. He is expected to appear in court Monday.

Clinton was also arrested on drunk driving suspicions in 2001 just a month after his half-brother, former president Bill Clinton, infamously pardoned him for a drug conviction.

The most recent arrest came just before the June 7 California primary, where Hillary Clinton and primary competitor Sen. Bernie Sanders (I, Vt.) are in a virtual tie among voters.

While Clinton is less than 30 delegates shy from the 2,383 needed to win the Democratic nomination, a loss in the state could place her on shaky ground heading into the general election.
