MSNBC host Chris Matthews indicated on Wednesday that former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton was "great" in person, but lacked "personality" on the 2016 campaign trail.
Matthews contrasted Clinton with his guest and former Clinton campaign advisor Jess McIntosh, who he said was "exorbitant, exuberant," and in a "good mood."
"Your personality. You could have sold some of that to the candidate," Matthews said on "Hardball."
"Look at you," Matthews said to McIntosh, "I mean Hillary could have come out with a little more of that stuff. In person, she's great.
