Chris Cuomo Calls Out DWS for Saying Dems Are Willing to Work With GOP on Health Care

CNN host Chris Cuomo called out Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D., Fla.) for saying that Democrats are willing to work with Republicans on health care.

Schultz criticized the attempts of Republicans to repeal Obamacare and said that Republicans haven't been interested in providing health care coverage to all Americans.

Schultz went on to call for Democrats and Republicans to work to improve Obamacare, but ruled out considering repealing and replacing the law.

"We need to sit down together," Schultz said. "Democrats are absolutely, earnestly willing to sit down and work together to address the problems in the current law and the Republicans just want to fulfill their so called perceived mandate to repeal it lock, stock and barrel. It's unacceptable."

"Right, I hear you on that, but I have to be honest with you, I'm not seeing it on the Democratic side," Cuomo said.

Schultz, the former chair of the Democratic National Committee, has repeated what several Democratic members of Congress have said, although many were criticizing the Republicans' plan before it was initially unveiled.
